104 Business Addresses to Send Baby Shower Invitations to!

Are you celebrating a soon to be birth of a newborn baby? 

You might even be celebrating a wedding, a special birthday year, anything for that matter!

Traditions are changing, yearly… monthly… daily, even! With social media being one of the most popular “go to’s” for entertainment, to spark ideas, or to share pictures and information on, for any and every age, we have been exposed to so many new ideas in the world. One of them being, sending out Baby Shower Invitations, to large or small businesses. I would assume you could try this with any sort of celebration, but to be specific for this post, I have sent out cards “inviting” businesses to our baby shower.

My husband and I are expecting our second little girl, only two, quick years after our first came into this world. With that being said (secret’s out), we actually, didn’t even have a shower for this baby, even though I sent out invitations. I have most things I need for this next child, but it doesn’t hurt to get anything for FREE; even if they are just samples. These businesses will not show up to your event, rather they may send out coupons, discount codes, or even small or larger products from their stores.

Mom Tip: If you aren’t interested or in need of a Baby Shower or Sprinkle, have a Diaper Party! Everybody needs diapers, whether they’re doing disposable or cloth; these add-up-quick. For a diaper party, you’ll want to invite any, and all friends/family. Provide the food and drinks, and ask for gifts to be diapers and wipes only. To make it more entertaining, I have seen people do diaper raffles. Your guest may get a ticket per wipe or diaper container and prizes could include, gift cards, gift baskets, lottery tickets, alcohol, etc. Just make sure you understand that this may just be an excuse to have a party. Depending on what prizes you give away, it could end up costing the same amount as just buying the diaper/wipes yourself. Also, if you are particular on brands or sizes, make your guests are aware. You will always get people who don’t pay attention to your wants, but in the past stores like Target will allow you to return unopened baby diaper boxes to exchange for a different brand or size. 

I had started to notice on some of the Facebook Baby groups I’m a member of, that moms were deciding to send out their extra Baby Shower Invitations to multiple different business addresses. This would include large corporations and small businesses (not just baby based businesses), and/or celebrities. And in return they might be lucky enough to receive a sweet letter, coupons or discount codes to their stores, small handpicked items, or even larger, more expensive items. 

The reason I decided to try this out was (almost) solely for this blog post. I wanted to get as many addresses as I could find, and information from other moms on what they received, as well as see for myself what items I would be given. I was also getting into making embroidered greeting cards, so I figured this would give me a reason to practice, as these were some of my firsts.

(I’ll attach below the card I used and some other examples of what I am talking about)

I did end up only sending out about 13 cards. I sent out 5 handmade, embroidered cards, and 8 Dollar Store “Baby Shower Invitation” specific cards. Remember, I didn’t actually have a shower, so I made up the date and time. BUT, we were still expecting a baby, so anything we were graciously given, I would still be able to use!

If you go onto any social media – Tiktok would probably be your best bet – you would find videos GALORE, of new mom’s-to-be, showing their experiences of this “trend.” Even some business accounts have videos explaining how and what they do to respond to these invitations. Most businesses are aware of this being a thing, so there is no need to worry about feeling like you are acting entitled to getting free gifts. To them, this is a great way to market their business. Their hope is that when they send you a small gift or coupon to welcome your baby into the world, you’ll end up really enjoying their products, and so you’ll buy more from them, as well as tell all of your other mommy friends about it! 

Although, not every person may get the same response with certain businesses. Some get so many invitations in the mail, that they end up only being able to pick a handful at random, per month, on who they will send something out too. But, you might just be the lucky one!

Itzy Ritzy: No address or stamp needed. Upload a photo of your invite on their site and they will send you a special discount code straight to your email. https://linkpop.com/itzyritzy

Carter’s: Will pick 5 invitations (not clear on if this is per week or month) to send out a “special gift” too, and the remaining invites will receive a discount code to help start your baby’s wardrobe!

Munchkin: Sends out a large blow up duck with many Munchkin products inside. According to @melliesgotyou, on TikTok, they will send out gifts to a few parents per week. (Gift inserts may include: liquid medicine dispenser, baby toy rattle, bath duck hot/cold water reader, nose aspirator, sippy cups, snack container, bottle/pump sanitizer bag, bottle container for dishwasher, pacifier sterilizer, pacifier wipes, carseat mirror, bottle warmer, PLUS MORE!

Dr Brown: Box of goodies including – breast pads, one tall 8oz anti-colic bottle, pacifier and bottle wipes, pacifier Lovey (though, I have noticed that not everyone is receiving a box lately).

Boppy Company: Will do weekly drawings.

Chickadee Baby Co: Submit invitations through email (chickadeebabyco@gmail.com). They LOVE receiving these invitations (box may include, pacifier, wooden teether ring, handmade snap bib, teether clip, headband bow, socks, baby shoes).

Chick-Fil-A: Private message through instagram account for their address. They are quick to respond. But I will attach it to my address list below as well. You may receive a box of Chick-Fil-A products, plus extra baby items.

Her Sweet Sunshine: A small business woman who LOVES receiving shower invites.

Some companies who send back coupons, samples, and discount codes:

• Pampers

• Carter’s/OshKosh B’gosh/Skip Hop (mentioned previously, that they pick 5 per month for larger gifts. Everyone else will receive discount codes)

• Johnson’s Products (may also send sample products of baby wash & shampoo, and lotion)

• Enfamil (sends out coupons & samples)

MOM TIP #2: When sending out Baby Shower Invitations, PLEASE include a personal shipping address of Mom and/or Dad-to-be, because you will not receive your special gifts if sent to a venue. 

MOM TIP #3: Personally reach out to Etsy shops and small businesses through their social media or Etsy platform. Pick shops based on your style. These small businesses are most likely not receiving hundreds or thousands of invitations unlike larger corporations. This is a good thing, because they may be willing to spare a few (more unique, handmade) items to promote their shop. They’ll be even more willing to do it if you share their information on your own social medias to market them.

GoodyBocs: I private messaged Sara, from GoodyBocs on Etsy for her address. I will not attach her address on this post since she did not put it out their for the public to see. BUT, she was very willing to give it to me! So, I encourage you to message any and all Etsy shops that you’d be interested in. Some will graciously give their address, some will not. But there is no harm in trying!

• Food/Formula Brands

An example of the private message, I used, to reach out to Etsy Shops:

“Good Morning,I have been eyeing your Etsy Shop, and find your baby items to be darling! I will be expecting a little girl in the fall, and am reaching out to see if you’d be interested in sharing your business address with me, so that I could send you an Invitation to our Baby Shower.I thought maybe this could be a great opportunity to market your merchandise to other fellow moms, with an item or even coupon. And in return, I would love to look further into purchasing from you, as well as share your business name with my friends.Thank you for your time and any interest you may have in sharing your beautiful products with me.Sincerely, Jordan”
