About Your Writer
+  our Family album

A little background on your writer!

Hi guys! I’m your writer, Jordan, and I am THRILLED that you are here!

I want to share everything I have with you all!

It’s a short life to pretend you just have everything together, so why keep it a secret? I want to share my days with anyone who will listen. While some days may seem great, others are quite the opposite. In reality, I am a regular, “newer,” mom trying to figure out my story in the world. So, tag-a-long and follow along my path with me.

Before I dive into my life, I wanted to share my little blurb. The world is not perfect; no matter how much we may make it seem. For example, the way we perceive people on the internet.

The internet makes viewers think we have to live a perfect life. But one of the reasons influencers make it look perfect, is because they know people like aesthetic, and it’ll make people like us who are watching, gravitate to their site or their page. So, when you go through my posts, don’t always assume everything is just fine and dandy. I’d like you to know, that two inches to the left of a photo, might as well be all the mess that I just shoved off to the side, so that it made my picture look prettier! I’m not perfect, you’re not perfect, and they’re not perfect. Nobody is alone to think that we can’t go for what we want. I’ve grown up watching social media influencers and thinking, “How is their life so flawless? How do they have time to do all of that? How can I be like them?” There is room in this world for everybody though. I always like to say “This world is just as much mine, as it is hers.” So here I am, going for what I want to do in my life, and letting myself fulfill my creative outlet, without any judgment. Take this as your encouragement, to take that first step into doing what makes you happy!

With that being said, let’s rewind and find out what path got your writer to where she is today!

My parents and extended family were all born and raised in Michigan, but I and my two younger brothers were born in the peachy, State of Georgia. Don’t ask me for that cute southern accent though, because I never acquired that appealing trait! I lived in Georgia until I was 12 years old, until we all moved to Michigan for my fathers job. I met my adventurous husband, Robby, at 15 years old, and we have been together since 2011. Fun fact! He moved here from Ohio the same year my family and I did, so truly, it was was meant to be. He went to school to become a Fireman/Paramedic and I got my degree in Early Childhood Education.

My dream goal was to open my own In Home Daycare, and possibly a Center at some point. But, as I worked in Childcare throughout the years – daycares, summer camps, and schools – I found that it just wasn’t fulfilling the vision that I once had for this occupation. I went back to school a few different times, and that never got anywhere. COVID19 then took over, so I used that time to try and figure out what it was that I needed to be doing. I, eventually, ended up going to work for my dad in a completely different field, whether it was where I was supposed to be or not.

After all of this life change for me (my husband is most definitely the stable one, haha!), we decided to have a baby! I got pregnant with our first child, who became our beautiful little girl, Rilynn Alessi. During my pregnancy, we also took over the role of becoming full-time guardians of my husband’s brother, Tim, who has a cognitive delay. In that same year, we bought his parent’s house (his beloved, late mother would have been ecstatic to know this), completely renovated it, all while living with my parents for 6 months. My husband and I, finally, live in our charming home with one Goldendoodle, TWO daughters now, our fan favorite Uncle Timmy, and many chickens. We eventually decided that “Stay at Home Mom” would be my new role and I’m absolutely taking advantage of every second, which brings me to where I am at in this moment of time. Fulfilling my creative outlet. Hoping, that whatever I share about my life, can help at least one other person.

Welcome to our Journey!
